Why can't the design result be implemented?
A good implementation of open and distance learning is
supported by instructional design's ability to identify needs, design, develop,
implement and assess e-learning. The synergy of the five components is
important to achieve learning outcomes. However, many e-learning design results
cannot be implemented. Like the ability of students who take the E-Learning
Development course, the average student cannot apply the results of their
design. This problem continues to be explored and the lecturer team tries to
map the ability of students in designing e-learning. Based on observation for 5 semesters, here are the results.
The search results state that the ability of students in need analysis is still low. This can be seen from the low distribution of each semester at the analysis stage. It turns out that students design e-learning not based on sufficient need analysis. This then causes the design results cannot be fully implemented. Meanwhile, the high ability to design and develop is influenced by the understanding and skills of presenting content in the previous semester. Students have been equipped with courses in learning media, graphic design, learning multimedia, learning audio, learning video, and learning design. The following is a spider web of student understanding based on the ability to analysis needs, design, develop, implement and assess e-learning.
